About the Speakers

Margareta Haag was the Executive Director of the International Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists (today, the International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science) until 2002, when she was diagnosed for the fourth time with lymphoma, a chronic condition. She became the President of the Swedish Network Against Cancer (NMC) in 2018 and holds this position today.
Dr. Mikaela Friedman is the External Relations Officer at Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS), where she has played a key role since its inception in 2018. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biotechnology from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
